"Flowers" is the 3rd Studio Album of Ace of Base released worldwide on June 15, 1998. On this occasion Jenny takes the predominant role as main vocalist and Linn the secondary role for most tracks produced. With this album being mostly geared towards the European market in contrast to the revised release of "Cruel Summer" for the American market many variations took place. From a discography perspective this Albums scope is mainly the European / Asian/ Australian/ Russian markets. From this release we also have no release of any LP Albums. For the Japanese Album of "Cruel Summer" they embraced the song"Life Is A Flower" and release it in Japan as the first single tho the rest of the Album is the American revised Edition of "Cruel Summer" a Similar thing with the Australian Market, 2 edition are released in Australia one being the original "Flowers" Album and the second being a revised version of "Cruel Summer" with a different layout of tracks including "Everytime It Rains" & "Whenever You're Near Me" and "Life Is A Flower" with the album still under the title "Flowers". The Album "Flowers" spanned 6 Singles and 2 Promotional releases, first we have "Life Is A Flower" then "Cruel Summer", "Travel To Romantis", "Always Have Always Will", "Everytime It Rains"for UK market & Cecilia"for Spanish & Italian market. We have the Promo of "Tokyo Girl" for France and the American version of "Donnie" is released as a promo to Japan. by Ritchie Stubbs

DONNIE
PROMO RELEASE DATES: - Autum 1998 (Japan) (as 2nd Single release for Japan as a Promo CD)
- The US refined version was releasd as the promo and not the Flowers Album Version.
- Whenever You're Near Me was the B-Side for this release making it the only Japanese relase to include it since it was decided that Japan would release "Life Is A Flower" as a Single and also include it on the album Cruel Summer Japanese Release.
- Japan also did not use the shorter radio friendly version found in the Austrlian CD album but used the full Album Version as its main release.
- Only released in Japan.
