In 2008 Ace of Base had become a trio with the full departure of Malin (Linn) Berggren the band began work towards a 5th album seeking a record deal that was never achieved with just the 3 members Jenny, Jonas & Ulf, so in the fall of 2009 Ulf Ekberg was a guest judge on a Reality Show for Sweden and met 2 vocalist who did not make the finals, talks led to using vocalist Clara Hagman & Julia Williamson to record a full length album. The concept was presented to the record labels and got green light to move ahead,. This record deal that did not include still band member Jenny Berggren who was in the work of her first solo album and in pending status of Ace of Base's next step towards a 5th album. On September 24, 2010 "The Golden Ratio" to the regions of Europe, Russia, India & Asia, Jonas and Ulf set out to explore what Ace of Base could sound like with a more modern sound ye keeping true to the original sound that they were famous for. The result of the work obtained mainly positive reviews from critics and many fans like the sound and yet many others were very hostile to the new line up featuring Clara Hagman & Julia Williamson. The first single "All For You" was released and reached #38 in Germany and new video presented the new vocalist with much more edgier outfits. Much controvercy sourrounded the project and Jennys absence was well noted by fans only a promo disc would be released for the song "The Golden Ratio" before promotion for the album would end. intro by Pablo Patricio
